That's right- I haven't posted anything lately, because I have been wondrously, spectacularly up to nothing.
However, I am BACK IN PHILLY as of pretty late last evening, and I'm ready to jump back in to life. So new things will begin appearing SOON ;)

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice
Calianna and Nourah are two little girls close to my heart. I've known their mommy and her whole family since I was just out of diapers, myself. Their Grandma is my mom's best friend.
So of course, I had to take the opportunity for a photoshoot! We had such fun! We're definitely going to be doing this again next week ;)

She keeps going and going and...
Saturday, I had the honor of shooting the gorgeous Tasha and her new hubby, Jay in Port Saint Joe.
You know I can't possibly stop. I don't think photographers ever actually DO stop... we sort of just keep finding new things to shoot no matter where we are!
And I lucked up on this one! What a lovely day for a sweet, romantic beach wedding!
More to come, but for now- your sneak peak:

Fools Like Us Are Always Dreaming
Yesterday I had the pleasure of shooting a new (awesome) model. We had such a good time! I mean, I often have a good time, but it's not often I run into a girl who is as UNscared of all things nature as I am. Maybe that's because I mostly shoot in the city. Who knows. But Adrien rocked this shoot, and I'm really enjoying the results!
Get the title this time?
Okay, don't tell me you've never heard the Eurythmics song. I bet Adrien has!
And without further ado...

Music: Sexi Plexi by the awesome Jack Johnson. You can buy it HERE.
Or just buy the album. You need the album, really.

New Beginnings
This belonged in a different post entirely. And it feels odd to segue into this... but frankly, it's beautiful, wonderful news, and my father is grinning from ear to ear in Heaven about it.
MY SISTER IS GETTING MARRIED!!!!!
Imagine my happy dance... cause I do one in my head just thinking about it!
Last Monday I got an email from Travis Shannon, my lil sis's boyfriend, asking what I thought of this ring. I responded 'IT'S BEAUTIFUL! IT'S PERFECT! SHE'LL LOVE IT!"
And boy, was I right!
And HERE IT IS!

My sister, mother, and I are already looking at dresses and thinking dates (probably sometime in May) and I'm just having the best time looking forward to being Matron of Honor for my bestest friend who just happens to be my lil sister :)

Farther Along We'll Understand Why
I apologize for my lengthy absence. Honestly, I wasn't sure how to approach- in a blog about my photography- this particular subject.
But every day it gets easier to talk about this, and it's time to just bite the bullet.
My father passed away August 21st. He was diagnosed with esophageal cancer last September, and after a wonderful, beautiful year of the best memories ever with my Daddy, he passed away after just a couple short weeks of suffering.
It's hard to explain how I feel. Mostly I'm okay. But like I keep saying, I had no idea you could have peace with a situation and still hurt so much.
Bob Bradford was, for 24 years, my pastor, my hero, and my Daddy.
Growing up in the Bible Belt, where so many preachers' kids feel the hypocrisy of a human father in the somehow higher office of spiritual leader, my sister and I had the honor of growing up with the most Godly, amazing man I have ever known. And still, one of his favorite lines was, "Don't look at me- my feet are made of clay."
He never judged a single person. He just loved everyone, no matter what.
I could go on forever- I could write a book about how special my Daddy was and how much I will miss him. But he wouldn't want me to dwell on that. He was proud of me. He made me feel proud of myself. I'll treasure that forever.
The title is from the song he has always said he wanted sung at his funeral, and it was- beautifully.
